The honest beauty column
Your eyes are the window to your soul and all that — so your brows, (under eye) bags and lashes are always deserving of some TLC. From cult lash-lengthening serums to the most versatile eyeshadow palettes, I’ve rounded up the ultimate maintenance kit to keep your peepers in check.
.
RevitaLash Advanced Sensitive Eyelash Conditioner, €90 YOU know the drill: RevitaLash harnesses clinically-proven technology to nourish and strengthen lashes and brows. And now, the brand has introduced a new product for those with increased sensitivity around the eye area — raise your hand if that’s you. Bold, beautiful lashes are incoming.
.
Alumier AluminEye, €62 I popped into My Skincare in Dublin for a glow peel last week and I couldn’t resist grilling my favourite therapist, Nicola, on her desert-island product: enter this hype cream. Working overtime to combat tired eyes, the creamy formula tackles everything from fine lines to dark circles while getting to work on puffed-out peepers. Rich in peptides and vitamins, it also contains light-reflecting, soft-focus ingredients that immediately lighten the appearance of under-eye darkness. So you can expect to wake every morning looking like a Disney princess.
.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade, €21 ANASTASIA hardly needs an introduction, but if your brows have yet to be acquainted, listen up. This tinted, creamy formula is waterproof, smudge-proof and ideal for creating defined, natural-looking face framers that won’t budge, even if you’re caught in a torrential downpour. Because of its mousse-like texture, it glides on like a dream and if you are watching your pennies, you can also switch things up and use this pomade as a gel eyeliner. Winning.
.
Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara, €14.50 FOR sky-high lashes that are out of this world, this lengthening, volumising mascara is where it’s at. Containing ultra-black pigments, the famous flex tower brush allows you to coat every lash from base to tip for oomph.
.
Lottie London AM-PM Retractable Liner, €5.95 FOR those who want to go for a softer, sweeter look than the trending siren eyes, doe eyes are the other end of the sultry spectrum. To try it yourself, use a liner to round-out your eye shape, opening the eye to recreate a look reminiscent of Bambi. I love this easy-glide, super soft liner. Available in three shades, it has a gel-like finish, that makes your peepers pop.
.
LUNA by Lisa Stevie Lash, €8 IF YOU are after a little extra drama and don’t have the time to grow out your lashes, look no further than Stevie, the new false lash with wispie double-volume lashes and a clear band. This set takes drama to a new level, thanks to its 3D silk-effect strands and double layering. There is a wide selection of new lashes available. Lusciously long and fabulously full, it’s a big ‘yaaas’ from me.
.
MAC Eyeshadow x 9 in Amber Times Nine, €32 THAT’S a wrap on festi-season and (for me) poppy, punchy colours. So it’s time to fully embrace my favourite nude colour palettes. Nobody does eyeshadow palettes like MAC, and I’ve fallen head over heels for this edit. From matte to satin to frost; the saturated, soft hues are all I need this winter, a real bonus for someone who travels light.
